Mango Blog
Posted by Alan Rother in ColdFusion on November 21, 2009
So, I spent most of today editing (and re-editng) my chapters for the forthcoming ColdFusion 9 WACK. As always hapens to me, while reading other people's blogs (fact checking not goofing off... mostly) I noticed that more and more ColdFusion developers are using Mango Blog (http://www.mangoblog.org/) and I started to wonder why.
Which of course distracted me and I went about setting it up on my server.
I have to say, at one time or another I've setup most of the popular (and some of the fairly obscure) ColdFusion based blogs, Mango was by far the easiest. The install interface the kicks in the first time you access the site is perfect. It walks you through the whole setup, validates your input and even adds a test entry! The admin interace itself is pretty slick. Lots of tools, lots of options. It even lets you access a library of pre-built themes and installs them for you!
Thats about all I have now, but I'm loving it so far... This might become my full time blog... and I might even use it this time!
